Your Headshot Session Choices

Women should arrive hair and make-up ready. You are allocated only 30 minutes of studio time so any time you use to apply make-up or fuss with hair limits your opportunity in front of the camera. Men are typically ready to go but should take a minute to check the mirror before coming on set.

Part of my process is to edit the session with you as we go. You and I will inspect each shot one by one to determine its potential use or not. When we are done I will have shot 80 to 100 images and as we narrow them down you will be left with 10 or so that you have approved as potential candidates to use. By shooting and editing in this manner we can adjust the focus of the shots during the session to account for anything that you feel we may have missed. You’ll know exactly what you will be working with when you walk out of my studio because we have gone through the entire session together and approved each image during this process.

As we begin the photo session I will assess your look, best side, best angle; my goal is to make you feel at home in front of the camera so we capture your natural self. I like to shoot my headshots in a horizontal format but if you feel you need vertical shots or 3/4 shots during your session just let me know and I’d be happy to frame the images accordingly for you.

The approved shots will be made available on your own password protected proofing website. Shots are usually posted within 24 hours of your session. You will be able to give the pass code to friends, family, agents or anyone else who might help you choose the shots you decide to use. Keep in mind that at this stage these are straight from the camera and not retouched. Sharing these initial images through social media via the links you’ll see next to each image in your gallery is not suggested.

The Power 30 package includes one fully edited and lightly retouched digital image. Additional retouched digital images are available at reasonable cost.

The Corporate Headshot session is an extended one hour session. Knowing the business professional is usually very busy I make this session as efficient as possible. You will have the option of two wardrobes, so one casual and one business is typical. We will work through a variety of looks to find the important impression you would like to make.

I like to shoot my headshots in a horizontal format but if you feel you need vertical shots or 3/4 shots during your session just let me know and I’d be happy to frame the images accordingly for you.

As this session is intended to cover two looks wardrobe selection is important. Both men and women should bring at least two wardrobe changes ranging from all business to comfortable casual. I shoot from mid torso up so pants and skirts are not a consideration unless you desire 3/4 or full length shots.

Women should arrive with their hair styled as they would normally wear it day to day. Women should strongly consider hiring one of our make up artists for the duration of the shoot. I have access to the best hair and makeup stylists in the area.

My Pro Headshot session is designed to provide you with the very best headshot experience. This session will last up to two hours and I will shoot a minimum of four looks. Shooting a range of looks in this way will allow you to have multiple shots available for different marketing purposes. I don’t put a strict limit on the number of shots I take per look, and generally shoot each look until I feel we’ve got it covered.
